how is the vibration and balance on that turbine, it looks much more stable than most home-made turbines I have seen.

How many amps/watts are you getting with this home wind turbine? Looks like it's holding up well for a home experiment turbine. What voltage are you charging to the battery bank on that home made system?

How nice. Basing from the spinning of your wind turbines, your location has a good source of wind which is good. The higher speed, the more energy can be produced. Now, many people are now aware of the benefits from using wind turbines in generating your own free electricity. This is very helpful in managing our finances and saving money.

Hi Windy, do you know if you need planning permission to put a turbine on your roof, in the U K ?

@WindPowerKits dear friend i am from pakistan... i am student... i wish to create a wind trbine with the help of Stand Fan or Seiling Fan... please help me in this case plzzzzz
UK planing restrictions still apply because New Labour lost the details of it in European legislation (vanished of the face of the planet it seems.)
Mine was redesigned and replaced with a solar tracker which is now permitted development without asking the local licence giving council .(Another way to tax you.

I have a couple of solar panels which give at best, 380W on a sunny summers day, a small wind turbine would be a great addition.
Good to know - anyone who is thinking about solar or wind, it's great, but remember that if is to be connected to a net connected system then the solar/wind supply can not be used as a backup, by law if there is a power cut, the solar/wind has to instantly cut off the supply to the net !

valid point
If you wire the mains circuits using dpdt switches like the video I posted you will be disconnected from the utility mains anyway so no problem.

does winter weather affect it at all

In winter the turbine produces the highest amount of power output.seal it up and its fine in winter.

@windysolar1 if your power goes out, what all can you run off of it

I use the turbine to only charge up my battery banks.
I use a Xantrex pro sine inverter to produce up to 1000w pf 230vac.
