  • I trained in a simulator a lot. Because controls in the inverted hover are completely turned around. You have to train a lot in a simulator, so that your hand response is automatical - you don't have time to think in real life or you'll crash.

In real life, I started my first inverted hovers by stopping the helicopter at the top of the loop. You have to move your pitch in negative, stop the momentum and correct movement stick so it stands still.

My first inv. hovers lasted 1-2 seconds.

  • how you do inverted hover? thank you

  • Yes, that is unfortunate with the default transmitter, because the pitch curves are not programmable and that's why when you switch to Idle Up, you loose some pitch. The situation is reversed when you go back.

The solution is to compensate the lost pitch by adding throttle when you switch to Idle Up or by switching to Idle Up when still on the ground.

I prefer method 1. For the first time, do it high enough to react properly, later you'll get used to it :-)

  • when you switch to idle up how do you setup your helicopter so hardly notice the difference?, when I use the idle up switch it rapidly heads for the ground
