While most people view this song as a love theme between two lovers and some say it was inspired by the conflict that occurred in Northern Ireland, my personal interpretation is that the song is dedicated to the people around the the globe through out history who had experienced enormous suffering due to several factors such as race, and indifference in religion and political views.However as the song suggest mankind will definitely break through the barricades of this wasteland once sincere love had been expressed in all humanity.

Its one of the songs of all time, what makes it good is personal interpretation on its true meaning. While I dont know the answer to that, could be the death of a father or may things. I do like your video though the track could so easily be related to the pictures, thumbs up from me.
