His pearl marking are simply beautiful! I hope even if proved to be male by his first adult molt (or dna testing) he keeps some of them, they meld just too well with his pied markings.
Were his flight feather clipped or just growing in slowly?
I give my 'tiels mist showers, but we play "towel games" similar to how you dried your baby off and when we make "bird burritos", it's great for vet offices, older or ill birds in cold weather, and just in case of emergencies.

I don't think this cockatiel was enjoying himself much. He was trying to get out the whole time. Tiels in general don't seem to like puddle-baths much, and usually like being misted more. Anyway, you don't have to "bathe" your bird. Just give them the opportunity and if they want to, they will. :)

@vulturedoors Don't worry, he LOVES his baths now! Every time he sees a sink, he flies towards it! I think he was just scared because it was his first time.
