Look can we just agree that men the world over prefer lighter complexions on ladies. There's nothing wrong with darker women wanting to be more attractive to men. That's our primary role as women any way.

In countries with dark skin, evened light skin is rare thus preferred.
In countires with light skin, evened tan skin is rare thus preferred.

Everyone needs to stop blaming white people for the bleaching mess. Light skin was preferred in Asian and Indian cultures way before the white men set foot in those places. It comes from the idea that lighter skin meant you were royalty or important because you didn't need to be out working in the fields all day, where if you were in the fields you would have been tanned darker. Face up to your own self made problems instead of blaming it on caucasians.
