More than 500 people in Houston were part of the first nationwide protest against the Federal Reserve. Congressman Ron Paul was the special guest speaker for Houston.

End The Fed was the phrase of the day as we stood outside the Federal Reserve Building right off of Allen Parkway in Houston, Texas.

The one problem I had with the protest was the concession stand charging Federal Reserve money for water. I brought a case of water to the protest, and later went to get a bottle and they wanted a dollar for it. WTF?

fuck the gold standard. you can manipulate any material that has a perceived value, the govt could make funny pictures saved to your hard drive the currency of the United States and still deny people (ahem, the descendants of african volunteers) equal access to decent jobs, etc. And remember this, Noam Chomsky > Ron Paul. Since Ron Paul became a national figure, the Federal Reserve has worked hard to stop severe inflation. Part of this is the pressure Ron puts on them because they know the public will now abolish the Fed if there is severe inflation.

Ron will not get enough power to ever abolish the private Federal Reserve criminal cartel, but he does put pressure on them and that's a good thing.

If you are right, and the Fed is a beast, then why not take it down with our eyes wide open, rather than waiting for them to do it to us when we are are not looking?

If what you say is true, then the longer we wait, the worse off we will be. No point at all in putting it off, even if everything you say is true.

So End The Fed Now! It might hurt, but in the long run it will hurt a hell of a lot less than the alternative.
