BIG COUNTRY
THE BUFFALO SKINNERS
KINGS OF EMOTION
Out beyond the river
Where you and I would ride
We would skin the buffalo
The last ones left alive
But once again it passed me by
I know it always will
So now I spend my Sunday standing still
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
And somewhere she is calling out
On a scarlet plain
But I no longer hear her
I grew out of those games
I never skinned a buffalo
I never even killed
That's why I spend my Sunday standing still
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Sure we could have
We could have got it right
Their are actually 3 versions of this song. And they are all brilliant in their own way.Big Country never got the recognition or attained the level of success that was comparable to their talents. So unfair. And most unfair that Stuart has been dead for 10 years. The man deserved a better fate than he got.

I am not aware of an instrumental version of this song but their is an excellent electric guitar version that you should check out.
Truly they are brilliant and Stuarts loss still saddens us all.

Does anyone know if there is an instrumental version of this song recorded by Stuart and the lads. I love listening to his voice and the lyrics of this song but I am curious to listen to just the strength of their instruments on this one.
