The USSR did not declare war against Japan until 8 August 1945. The USSR was beaten twice by the Japanese in the 1930's and wanted nothing to do with them until after Hitler was defeated. The Americans and British (mostly Aussies, Indians and Ghurkas) defeated the Japanese; the USSR came in only to expand their Soviet empire.

Cool video with some great footage.
What is the music? I really liked it.

After WWII when the US occupied Japan, the US made sure the Japanese have no army by abolishing it entirely but came back to become an economic superpower and even that failed.

ok @artimeis have you ever heard of an army telling the enemy "hey were going to attack u here and then, okay see you around" when u say "cowards attacking without warning u mean a suprise attack how else could a country that had a tenth of the rate of military expansion get a small advantage Im not saying they should have attacked us or anything but u just make it sound stupid. And if Japan had actually focused all the troops that were in the phillipines and indonesia on china, they wouldve won

I know this maybe rather out of no where but yeah.
likely they felt threatened cause the US wanted control over the pacific, not Japan.
The US never fought a single war without imperial interests.

Regarding the kamikazee tactics, Japanese soldiers were stored with overwhelming pride for their country and empire. If a mission had failed, it would have brought deep shame for most in the beginning. Understanding the mental stress, a kamikazee raid was seen by the Japanese as a way to die with dignity- dying while fighting for the homeland. It didn't matter whether it was strategic or tactic or what have you.

The attck on Pearl Harbor was actualy not intended as a surprise attack. The declaration was delayed from tokyo to washington so the attack was commited before the U.S gov recieved news of war. Alot of pilots were actually upset to attack a "sleeping enemy" which made them feel dishonorable.

You are not saying all. You say that Japan took the action first and forced USA to join the war. But american previous policy and oil embargo forced Japan to attack. They has no other alternative except leaving China which was unacceptably of course.

Amazing movie
continue.... As you can see that was the smartest choice they could of made, b/c not only it disable the US navy, but it gave them hope that the stupid americans might consider on terms to not go to war, and also were able to succesfully invade the (US) phillips. and other countries in order to get their raw material to continue the war. I want you to think of an option they could of take, that would benefit the japs (except surrender) and then you can talk.

Given that situation, that's probably the only choice they could make to maximize their chance to win, as they had provoked the Americans in the Pacific. If they were really smart, they should not be so greedy to expand their so called Greater Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere to such extent. They were just too over confident, and thought they would win again (since late 19th century).

damn my other half got cut off, well on there i put on that u didn't know shit because if japan wouldn't invade those countries like the phillips. They would of forced to stop the war with china. So they needed that material one way or the other and they couldn't get b/c america declared emabargo with japan. So it was the only choice they could of made or just be a bunch of bitches w/ the USA and ask for forgiveness, or surrender the war with china.

Be polite in your wording. I have said it's their only choice. I didn't see your view is different from mine. I further pointed out they were too militaristic. U go back to study 19th century Japanese history to trace the background. They put themselves in the dilemma u mentioned.
