i am planning to buy a 5string bass. Is it a good idea? :D

@hbalazs09 Hiya. Thankyou nice of you to comment . Basses are so weird ,each bass does things that the other can't .4 string has a root & 3rd on the 4th & sixth string .So it makes some slap stuff very smooth to play. 5 string has a wider span of notes in one position .So it you can play some scale runs better .Plus playing in C or B is like having and extra octave . Be careful to get one which has a clean lowest note .Some 5 strings are very muddy down low ..Thanks !
