  • Hi, great video! Would a 12,5mm or a 0.49 inch Hard drive fit?

  • @kongwolf The Mac mini Server can accept up to two 2.5" standard (9.5mm) hard drives or SSDs. 12.5mm drives will not fit.

  • Is there a way to upgrade the processor on your own for the new mac mini.

Like putting the new i3 or something? If there is could you possibly make a video for that

  • @kingschill23 At this time, we do not sell a processor upgrade for the Mac mini. If or when they become available, you can rest assured that OWC will be there with an installation video.

  • Thanks!!! I just used your guide on mine, luckily it was the first drive that was dead. Works now and this was better than the ifixit guide.

  • There are differences in the order of the HDD? What is the HDD master and what slave HDD? Thanks

  • I just striped the screw even with the right tool-OWC is there anything I can do I can't remove the screw

  • Outstanding video. I plan on upgrading hd 1 to an SSD soon, once I find the easiest way to transfer the OS to the new drive before install.

  • @OWCmacsales Rock on!

  • @employee3dotcom Somehow the upload to the Mac mini 2010 Hard Drive installation video to YouTube was missed - thanks for pointing it out. It is on our channel now.

  • @OWCmacsales Still waiting.

  • This is an excellent tear down guide, and had me successfully upgrade my mac. If I had any feedback at all, it would have been to actually show each screw before inserting it; just like with the long logic board screw. It wasn't a problem in this machine, however for more complicated tear downs with more screws it may get fuzzy. But nonetheless, extremely thankful and impressed with this video.
