OK, so I get that he's not supposed to be attractive. But I just don't understand the people that say it's the voice that reels her in and favor Crawford. If I were blindfolded and they told me to pick one of the two guys to go spend forever with by their voices, I would walk right up to Gerard's phantom hands down. To me there is absolutely nothing appealing about Michael's sound. Gerard's is low, mysterious and gorgeously leering, not the higher nasal voice this version is like. Sorry :/

@manofwindu The lyrics are way better too. The original Phantom wound Christine in a web of deceit and lies and eventually caused the bitter end of their romance, the new Phantom (which I actually love) makes no sense whatsoever. That Phantom is attractive, seductive, and desirable. The ending is abhorrently illogical and I therefore cognitively skip it.
That said, this version is also plainly better.
