His answer should have been, "We do the exact same things in a crisis that religious people do. We just don't pray, or believe in a god when we do it." The American Atheists need a better leader. One who doesn't resort to derision and ridicule to make their points. Silverman is not the representative we need at the frontline of what should be a movement for understanding and rationality.

3:22 God didn't create the hurricane? um didn't God basically foresee everything, design everything and work with divine wisdom (working in mysterious ways). In order words while god doesn't control people - since we have free will as mortal beings and the current life is a test for the afterlife. But God DOES control hurricanes and in fact uses them as a test of our moral fiber. In short that woman doesn't know what the fuck she's talking about.

WOW, 3 on one and he beat them in turn. It's funny how religious people have no problem telling someone that they will go to hell, but call them delusional and they get quite irate. Notice how after Dave refutes all the hosts they run out of time; if they spent any more time Dave's position starts to looks more reasonable to their audience, so they end the interview.

Why do FOX ask anyone on to express a view, when they just mock that view, I don't agree with Mr Silverman, but those loud mouths at FOX ah um (cough) News are just plain rude and disrespectful of their guest. Turn off FOX.

Religious people lecture you about a truth that clearly isn't, and they want truckloads of respect for that. Comes along Mr. Silverman saying that he thinks it's delusional, and then the religious do what the goddamn religious do best... (whatever it is, it's terrible)
