Robin prepares for the "custody" battle

Robin and Anna are having breakfast before they are scheduled to appear in court for the custody hearing, when Patrick, and then Noah, drop by. Patrick brings Robin her favorite pastries, while Noah is there to offer Robin moral support. Anna seizes the opportunity and tries to get Patrick and Noah to work through their issues. It does not go well. Noah is convinced that Patrick is inherently unable to be a good father to his child because of the kind of father that Noah had been. Noah warns his son to walk away from his baby before he ends up with a mountain of regret, like Noah. After Noah leaves, Robin asks her mother to leave as well. Robin wants to talk to Patrick. When they are alone, Robin tells Patrick that he is a better man than Noah gives him credit for. Patrick chuckled, without humor, and pointed out that Robin just doesn't think he is good enough to be a father to their baby. Before Robin can respond, Patrick goes on to tell her that he loves her and their baby and that is why he has to go through with the custody petition.
