Suzie spots Jack's dog Eddie trotting out of the elevator and disappearing into the grand dining room. Curious, she follows. As she draws closer, the sound of a piano becomes clear. Peering inside, she finds Jack playing alone at one of the grands on stage. In the vast emptiness of the room, the piano sound resonates powerfully and the music Jack makes is like nothing we've heard him play before. Fluid and unpredictable, it is played with the focused abandon of a jazz hand.

Movie plot: Two piano-playing brothers, one a cynic with serious artistic leanings, and the other a perpetually optimistic, but workmanlike player, audition a number of vocalists in order to spice up their stale lounge act. When they find a beautiful and talented young singer, their career starts to pick up again. But jealousies, both romantic and professional, begin to appear and threaten their newfound success.

  • Just transcribed the whole piece, took two days off and on, the movie intro is a whole step higher than the Henry's Jazz Club scene, where he plays with the trio also the timing goes from 4/4 to 3/4 for the trio shot, great work DAVE!

  • Truly sublime.
