This video shows a stock iPod Touch 4th generation with stock hardware and software being used to magnify a logic board at 10x. This was done by altering the CMOS image sensor and camera lens to add a space between the two. This cannot be done to your iPod Touch without permanently altering the rear facing camera. This is not something you want to do with your iPod Touch, we did this to use as a cheap and effective digital magnification tool.

@SuperJed90 Hello, sorry we do not repair the 30 pin dock connectors for an iPod Touch. We are able to do so by replacing a part in the iPhone and/or iPod Classic models.

So this just alters the focus.

@1972jeepcommando Basically, yes. We increased the distance of the lens from the CMOS image sensor and within a relative range we can "zoom" the image by pressing against the backplate. Not very useful in the real world, but it is very helpful to us. Plus, it is nice to be able to disect a camera on this iPod model, because of the differences in the front versus the rear.
