  • Hi Madhura, I'm a big fan of urs :)

I have a question about the spices and storing them,

I like to add many spices to my food,

but sometimes there is a spice that I don't use for a while, it goes bad :(

do I buy the spices I need for each recipe in small amounts,

    which can be impractical,

or the problem is in storing them?

I keep them on a shelf that doesn't have a door, is that bad?

    Thanks sweets :)

Good question, that's a very common problem. Truly one thing I have noticed is we open up the packets and tie 'em with some rubber band and keep back on shelf, which ruins whether its a spice or flour. The reason is very simple the way we keep 'em gives enough room for bugs to attack in. To avoid that whenever I open packets I transfer the stuffs either in tight fitting container or Ziploc or sandwich bags. Small dry masala packs I store in refrigerator. I hope this will work...

  • you can even add methkoot powder to this recipre. tastes awesome!
