@TheEctomorph i would have to say ato boldon, frankie fredericks were clean, or much more likely to be cleaner, but even saying this makes me uncomfortable, because u can only be entirely sure if u were in the lab doing the tests, and received the raw data, being the chief scientist etc. theres really no point believing what leaks out the media and speculating on it and then come on here and drag chrisite down, and point at him, unless u speak from the perspective: doping is acceptable & normal.
@TheEctomorph . u do the drugs because u dont trust the testers in the first instance, not even because u dont trust ur competition. and when its ur meal ticket thats in the form of a medal, and ur killin g urself in the gym and u know just one person is taking something and getting accelerated results and taking ur meal ticket away, ure gonna try and make up that deficit. the real question here is who is clean, not point out the unclean one. of all the sprinters ive seen from my generation.....
Respond to this video... .......ru goin to say they were the only two on?? what about donovan bailey, he was working as a stock broker, having played basketball i think at college, then decided he wanted to win olympic gold at 100m at 22 in around 1992? 4 yrs of training or roids? (interestingly, the last 3 men i have mentioned are off jamaican descent)...so i hope if ur going to remind ppl that he had had a controversial ending to his career, u do the same thing on carl lewis's video
Respond to this video... or human characterisitc that maybe exccessive in others, like ones height, propensity to gain weight, etc. id go far as to say christie could have been a decent decathlete because of his apparent upperbody strength as well as leg power.same with ben johnson, very prone to gaining mass, especialy it seemed in his legs, giving him a pathetically quick start, squatting 600 pounds didnt hurt it either, no one else was freaky like these 2, but then r u going to say,,,
@TheEctomorph.... its pretty obvious he was on something, i can agree, but he did it being absolutely convinced others were on something, and if u know anything about steroids, it easy to clear it out the system and beat the tests,so everyone will do it, and have since its been made. what he did when he was pushing 40 had nothing to do with what he did in this video, and as for his build, that just what u call hyperresponse to steroids, just like any other plane of physiology or.................
@TheEctomorph during the 90's. he still didnt get any quicker either, perhaps even slower, for all the upper body mass he gained. im sure i dont need to contiue to make my point. if all that didnt happen, the times being run would have been a shade under 10, if that, and linford probably would have been happy enough to be a definite contender for a medal, but when uve got other guys with access to drugs, not just steroids as lewis showed (stimulants too, to make up for his horrid start).......
@TheEctomorph well when the rest of the comp is doing it, its ok to aswell. lewis had positive tests covered up, johnson by his own admissions was on leading up to races. im pretty sure ray stewart was coached under a doper and had recently been banned for life from coaching for giving drugs to his athlete, jerome young. desai williams was apparently on according to charllie francis. Dennis micthell, i remember, was pulled aside for having a test level several times the normal post-race......
@burnleyfan11965 [Continuing on from my previous 'posts' about Mr Linford Christie]: cheat, but I am afraid that the EVIDENCE strongly suggests (even if it does not conclusively prove) that, that was the case.)
@burnleyfan11965 [Continuing on from my previous 'posts about Mr Linford Christie]: and in its entirety - strongly suggests that he was an athlete who succumbed to the temptation of taking illegal anabolic steroids to enhance his performances.
Maybe one day - in the not too distant future - big Linford will have the humility and integrity to publicly admit that he did use performance-enhancing 'persian rugs' during his career. (Of course, I cannot be 100% certain that he was a drugs
@LIVINGONTHEDOLE shows how much everyone knows about an athletes "peak"
