  • @237Michael Berman of Greenpeace total lack of information and understanding of basic environmental issues. Greenpeace is only a political organization - has nothing to do with helping the environment. Harper is not responsible for Kyoto - he is only trying to make right the damage Chretien has his rat pack of Liberals did. This fact alone shows this woman has no idea what she is taking about. Good for you Harper - the one person trying to do something positive about the environment.

  • This problem started when that idiot Chretien signed the thing in 1997 and then did NOTHING!. Sorry, naming your pet does not count. The conservatives took over in January of 2006. There was no way that Canada was going to meet the commitment that the liberals foolishly signed then neglected. Sorry, but Canada sending boatloads of money to some other country is NOT going to reduce your c02 parts per million in the atmosphere and that will NOT happen without China and the US signing on.

  • @UinDVM You want facts - Carbon dioxide emissions (CO2), metric tons of CO2 per capita - USA 17.5 (2008) - Canada 16.4 (2008) Of course, China is way down the list at 5.4 (2008) when considering its huge population - however China pumps 3.800 million tons of CO2, the US 5.800 million tons and Canada 500 million tons. And Canada is the problem? Unbeliveable. I believe Americans are smarter than Canadians since the US never signed on to this bogus Kyota sham in the first place.

  • Canada does NOT believe in manbearpig!

  • @waynewin Uuugh. I think you're confusing who the hypocrite is here. Read the comment above by UniDVM.

  • Harper is destroying Canada's image and reputation.

  • Maybe you all should do some research.

Canada represents 0.05% of the world's population. We spew out 1.8% of global emission=> Canada emits 36 times the amount we are entitled to. ALSO, China has a wayyy lower emissions per person than Canada. Don't we also have a global responsibility to invest responsibly?

Canada said they would sign Kyoto only if devlpng country like China would be required to reduce emissions too. China said ok, we'll do it if you sign. Canada said, were still not signing.

  • Another one sucked into the big Kyoto lie. Canada's emissions are so small, they are negilible. The Oilsands are a diversion to reflect blame on the worlds BIG pollutors - China (1/4 of all CO2 emissons) and the US (1/2 of all CO2 emissions) - neither of which belong to Kyoto. Are we so stupid to believe the garbage this women is barfing out. Good work Harper, call the world on its hypocrocy.

  • Harper has done an excellent job representing Canada by pulling out of this farce! Thank-you, for having some balls against this carbon scheme! :) I am sure this lady is proud Jean for signing onto Kyoto, look at all they did, to reduce CO2's
