A jig written by the outstanding fiddler/composer Liz Carroll, a modern celtic session standard along with a traditional irish jig , also another popular celtic session standard.

  • If Robin Bullock ever pulls a "no show", they better call you. Solid material! (and yes, you do look Henry Winkler). Thanks for the post.

  • Ha! Henry winkler, that is a first; better than the "you look like that guy on that show about crab fishing". I would be honoured just to tune Robin Bullock"s guitar; would like to hear him play someday, unfortunately i missed him when he was around here doing some duet stuff with Steve Baughman.

  • Bravo!

I've just been strumming bass notes and chords to accompany songs like these in the contra-dance band in which I play.

I see by your example that I can do so much more!

  • Thanks Bob

This fingerstyle way of playing seems to work well in a small setting, (added bodhran really helps) but not too well in something like a session, where the fiddlers , whistler and such like to have a more prominent rhythm underneath what they're playing - which at times comes at the expense of the the overall sound, imho

  • Before you even started playing or I read any comments, I thought Wow that guy looks just like me, but slimmer. No I'm not Henry Winkler or the Crab Fishing Guy, just another musician who plays Celtic Music, mostly on Fiddle , but decided to work on GADDAD guitar as of last weekend.

Anyway lovely job on the tunes.

  • Collings are such great instruments, it suits well with your great technique.

    Lovely tunes

    Cheers from France

  • Wowie! That looked really difficult, too!

  • Excellent ! Cheers from France

  • Bravo! I really like you tone.
