I have movement and camera controls down with my 360 controller, but I am wondering if it is possible to link things to the buttons on the controller? For example, link left mouse to B. So I can fire weapons in mouselook with the controller.

I have a Saitek controller and I'm really hating the profiler on it, As it breaks often but this helped point me in the right direction for using SL's end of thigns to get it working. Kudos! This makes simboarding a LOT easier..

The messenger pad is recognized as a legacy ps/2 keyboard on my wireless gamepad. I can generally use it not only for full text, but extra controls in many PC games. The fact that I can play CS:S with the console and full chat typing without needing to touch a keyboard and mouse says just how nice it works.

I wonder if you could get it to reconize teh Messenger pad as well.

but it blocks the cam in the same direction as when you press shift while moving in sl. What can i do? :s

You'll have to find axes that will work for you. If you have 2 analog sicks like on the 360 pad you can use one for moving. (left-right, forward-backward) and one for turning/looking (up-down, left-right).
It seems you are missing the axis for "looking/turning" in your configuration.
