Um "chop your breakfast on a mirror". Did you think they were talking about waffles? I haven't heard lyrics that hit the nail on the head about addiction like this song does.. (Under the Bridge, RHC) is pretty close, but not as persuasive.

to the people asking how drugs play into the video, HE IS SAYING---Dont Be A Puppet, To the drugs and social influences of society. Like Fucking DUH The message is in the words and the video cant believe you cant see it. it was also one of his first sober songs that people said would never make it. Wrong one of the hardest rocking Metallica songs ever. strictly my opinion of course. since we are all entitled to one i suppose
