Science, and medical are the two most weakest classes. Science is much better of the 2, and medical is next to useless as your player. If you have a good medical officer on your crew with built-up healing you are covered in battle. If YOU are the medical officer, then you have to run around healing your crew, or use another slot to equip a medic to your team. Why do that and waste a slot that you could've put real fighters that will do some good in battle? So, stick to tacticle, or enginering.

i find it sad that this has a better species choice (and you can make your own, thats sodding awesome) then SWTOR, which is a universe filled to the brim with unique species.

descent freespace used to be the best space game ever made until the x3 series came out.. (notice i havent mentioned eve online? because that game sucks) nothing was better than x3 until star trek online came out.. everything is great about star trek online..

PROS: very high quality and perfectly optimized engine, its very interactive you can travel anywhere in space, and on planets or stations

CONS: the characters dont look very realistic, economy balancing needs to be done
