Chris is a good guitar player / songwriter, but trying to sing too is exceeding his abilities, at least in this case. Why not bring in a girl to sing? They sure have enough people up on the stage! :)

This is the guy from The Waitresses that wrote the song. The following info is from another youtube post with the original song.
The Waitresses were an experimental new wave band from Akron, Ohio. The group was led by guitarist /songwriter Chris Butler with lead vocals performed by Patty Donahue. Their new wave "Christmas Wrapping" was originally released on the Ze Records album A Christmas Record in 1981, and became a #45 hit in the United Kingdom in 1982.
