Iraj Bastami-Saz o Avaz Hejaz

Iraj Bastami (1957 Bam, Iran - 2003 Bam, Iran) was a Persian classical musician and vocalist. Bastami died on December 26, 2003 in the Bam earthquake.


The 2003 Bam earthquake was a major earthquake that struck Bam and the surrounding Kerman province of southeastern Iran at 1:56 AM UTC (5:26 AM Iran Standard Time) on December 26, 2003.
The earthquake was particularly destructive, with the death toll amounting to 26,271 people and injuring an additional 30,000.

WOw, thanks for this video! Rest in peace dear Iraj, he was such a talented singer! Unfortunately we lost our big singer in the earth quake in Bam:-( He was heading off to Germany I think for a concert and they had no chance but to cancel the concert. I cried so much for the people who died in that earth quake:-(
