  • Goddamn you gays A lot of People Don't believe in Gay marriage.

    Get the fuck Over it.

Flame and mark me down all you want but that's the simple fact.

Now stop insulting straights and religious people for not being gay mmkay?

and don't even try to compare this to when blacks Didn't have equal rights.

  • the point that you seem to not get is that we're not insulting straights. we're not insulting religious people. it's you guys that are going out of your way to step on us. we're trying to stay out of your way and live our lives with the same rights you have. so shut the fuck up. yeah?

  • good to see SOME black people still support civil rights. They are notorious for not wanting gays to have equal rights even though they had to go through the same thing lol of all people they should be MORE understanding. I'm not saying they should have to protest with us, but don't try to bring us down when voting.

  • at this protest it was a lot of mixed races. i think a lot of black people understand the areas of similarity between the civil rights fight of the 60's, and of today.

  • gay people should be very proud of their unity and action in speaking out against injustice and bigotry.

i am a married stright woman. my husband and i joined the protest in los angeles, california on 11/15/09.

it was my first protest for civil rights. i am confident gay people will get their equal rights under the law eventually.

    stay strong. go go go...

  • i'm always especially moved by straight people joining gay movements. it shows that people really are on our side. thanks so much to you and your husband for taking part.

  • Some of these parades and marches on youtube may be scaring little kids into homophobic adults. Less than half the sites on youtube I've seen depict gay people as loveing and understanding; the ideal parents.

Calling people names, bigots for instance, is cold.

  • Youtube has site after site after site of scary gay parades with people stripped down to their undies, drawing on clown facepaint, chanting and wooting.

Can you imagine Pastor Martin Luther King Jr encouraging signs that say "fight the bigots" and calling people names? It's not easy to march in shiny dress shoes knowing police dogs and water canons face you.

Susan B. Anthony. Nelson Mandella, Mahatma Gandhi kept thier dignity and hoped others would do the same.

  • @LoveTheCity123

Congrats on responding to a year old post.

  • @9N8X Actually as of a 2010 study, 64% of Americans believe that gay marriage is acceptable in society. Get over it and get your facts straight.

  • Some of the knee-jerk reactions against gay marriage are pretty fucking sad, aren't they?

    Bordering on the pathetic.

  • LOL agreed!

  • Yay to a fellow Canuck. It's pretty silly to hear all of these fears about gay marriage - when all they need to do to look at the reality of what society will look like after gay marriage is legalized, is look to the North and see Canada.

So far nobody has married their dog, and nobody has married their sister/brother/father/mother/cousin.

Life has pretty much gone on like it did before.

Oh, no churches were burned and no priest has been forced to marry gays.

The reality of it is boring.

  • We don't insult straights (which I am one) or religious for not being gay - we insult them for being bigots and using a bible - a book so utterly unprovable that it's a joke - in order to withhold human rights from people.

It's a bummer you feel judged and ostracized - that's how homosexuals have felt for decades.

Perhaps you should take your own advice, and get the fuck over it!
