  • @hahasaidthecar Oh, dude ,Fripp's solo is GREAT ! and crazy too !

  • I have adopted this as my theme song.

  • The simple truth is that some men are hairy, and some are not. Some women have lots of hair, and some don't. Different races have different patterns for the distribution of hair. The most virile of all men, the tall negro male, is almost entirely lacking body hair.

  • @OpheliaImmortal true.punk needed to happen first, when things started becoming more independant. but there are some real lost gems from the 60s/70s that most people miss.

  • @carlbags666 Mostly true about the mainstream thing, although most of the bands worth listening to still weren't in the top 10 at many points. The direct top of the charts for the 60's and 70's was still mostly complete crap. At the same time, there weren't nearly as many truly "underground" bands then as there are now in the first place, largely due to recording and distribution restrictions. There were probably the same amount of local bands but with less of an outlet to make their music known

  • @OpheliaImmortal there are loads of great modern bands, but its not enough. I think personally the ratio of good music to bad music from the 60s 70s was more favorable than it is today. Remember that even mainstream music was good back then but now only more underground/lesser known bands are worth listening to. but of course most people are going to disagree with me.

  • @carlbags666 That's reasonable. I just think it's unfair to say there aren't enough decent bands today when there's incredible groups like the Books, Youth Lagoon, Beirut, Gang Gang Dance, Animal Collective, Black Moth Super Rainbow, 7 Fields of Aphelion, Joanna Newsom, The National, Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, etc etc etc.

  • @OpheliaImmortal I am an avid collector of new and old music so I don't think thats the case. Its all a matter of taste! the bands that I find and others introduce me to that are modern just don't do it the same. just my taste. Also I will point out theres hundreds of albums in my collection that are new (last five years-ish) so its not like I'm saying I don't like modern stuff at all. My fave bands always tend to be 60s or 70s and ITS not my fault just my taste.

  • @carlbags666 There's a ton of them, possibly even more than there were in the 60's and 70's. People who say that just haven't actually tried to look for them.

  • es un poquito doloroso :(
