I had met and seen John King play at Uke Fest West and the two New York Uke Fests - I think this song is the most beautiful of all. I play it all the time now, in his honor, and I miss him.

Is that a concert scaled instrument? with reentrant g?

Thanks! Definitely keep practicing. My ukulele (in this video) is concert scale with reentrant tuning, GCEA.

You seem have excellent technique. Did you study classical guitar before picking up the ukulele?

Thank you. I actually started with the ukulele when I was six, then moved on to study the guitar a few years later.
