Day 68: Special Edition: Sit in at Al Quds Radio in Gaza at a call in program during which people tell their problems and philanthropists amongst the listeners help. To see with her own eyes, Farah goes out to look at a case in which 10 people live in one room - their home for the past 20 years! Meet Abu Mohammad and Um Mohammad and meet their kids: this room is like a prison cell Abu Mohammad says. Why doesn't he work? An anonymous person had heard the story on the radio show and built them a 3 bedroom home complete with a toilet and kitchen. See the new home. What a contrast!
Right out of Dickens. 19th century conditions in London reproduced in the 21st century. Meanwhile, Israelis live in comfort ignoring it just as did the better off in old England. Yet still the children study! What they learn without books is the terrible reality of over 60 years subject to the Jewish State. Israel will one day be a land for all, not a select group to the exclusion of the natives. "The Indians" are full citizens of the U.S., so will it be for Palestinians in their land.
