can you cook directly on the fire ? how do you care for it ? what if it doesnt have a hole on top whats the difference in cooking ? is it only for moroccan cooking ? will food burn if left unattended for hours say 2. ? in other words is it like a crock pot....

Was hoping with this title that you would detail how to use a tagine. Do you use it in the oven or on top. There must be a general stew that you could make. Oh well, still in search of basics.
