The Osprey Atmos 50 proves that light weight and carrying capacity are not mutually exclusive. With its LightWire Alloy Frame and 50 liter capacity, the Atmos 50 will surprise you with how comfortably you can carry a ton (figuratively) of gear.

It features:
• LightWire Alloy Frame
• Cross struts provide excellent flex
• Tensioned breathable mesh fabric provides superb airflow through back contact zone.
• AirSpeed side crescents for side ventilation
• Thermoformed and perforated waffle pattern harness and hipbelt for further ventilation
• Floating top pocket
• 2 side zippered front pockets
• Size cu. in. liter lbs/oz kg. S 2800 cubic inches (47 liters) / 3lbs. 3 oz. (1.45 kg.) M 3000 cubic inches (50 liters) / 3 lbs. 7 oz. (1.54 kg.) L 3200 cubic inches (53 liters) / 3 lbs. 10 oz. (1.84 kg.)
• Dimensions: 28"x13"x12" (71x34x30cm)
• MSRP: $199

  • this is the best review of this bag i have seen i wacthed 4 videos before i found this. on to your other reviews.

  • is this an older model?

  • Pls this is important can anyone tell me what size backpack I would need for 3 week trek in Morocco? Btw We are sleeping in tents so I will need camping gear like pads and sleeping bags.

  • Thank you so much for your review

  • @sampson153

It ia actually the original version. The newest is better. Ventilation hole on the back side. Removable top and bottom access for sleeping bag

  • Great backpack! I have been using this pack for years and it is hardly showing any signs of deterioration, only signs are on the base from setting it down. I have the atmos50, and it has been great for 5 day trips in the sierras.

The inside space is a little tight, but it has always worked for me in the end!!

  • I'm looking for a backpack and I'm stuck between this one and the Arcteryx Axios 50 (maybe you could review that one), so thanks for this vid!

I did notice something about the hip-belt pockets though. You said that you would prefer for them to be fabric rather than mesh, but since they span the length of the belt it would render the breathable belt material unbreathable.

  • u sound like you have a cold ?

  • hi is the bag water proof !

  • There are two small clasps inside the zippered access to the frame/airflow system. What are they used for?
