with the right lead, should should the right leg of the horse be extended, or the inside leg. like..................... if u loped with the right lead on way, and then u reversed, would you have the inside leg extended or the right leg extended??? so would the rite front in reverse be on the outside???? man im confused........ Please help me !!!!!!!! ASAP!!! thankyou!
i like my western. western is very similar to bridless. the western style i learnt here in aus the reins are pretty much useless and you train your horse to have a bitless bridle. i also perfer my western saddle cuz we got a bad habit of doin really really dumb stunts like hanging of the side of the horse. they dont mind. we dont do anythin to endanger the horse just pretty much ourselves lol. most people that try to get me to ride english i hate specially the post trot that sh!ts me
Haha, that's a misconception. People just ride different, in both disciplines there are polar opposites. You're rather off about the english seat, why talk about something you refuse to learn about? It's individualized, there are bad/good examples in both. I was trained to be an english rider, to have some slack in my reins but at the same time be able to find contact without jerking for the reins or lifting hands for leverage. I dislike western and english compared to BRIDLESS AND BAREBACK! :D
Appaloosas and bridless riding have worked great for me! I love appys. : ) and you're right with your comment, I never want to tug at my horses mouth because they are so sensitive. Glad we're on the same page!
Kind of a stretch to elude this is the epitome of bridless riding. I like my horses bridless training a million times more, I have video. And bridle-less training does not begin with the bridle, and that is how these horses were trained.
you can do this with any trained horse i know trainers that train dressage, jumping, hunt, saddle seat that can do this with nothing not even a saddle
The owner of the barn where I board my horse has a 12 year old QH gelding who she can ride bridleless. She has taught him to respond to leg cues. For instnace, if she relaxes her legs while trotting, he will slow to a walk. If she wants him to turn left, she will put her left foot back and her right foot forward. It is a lot of fun to watch her ride him around without a bridle.
