Latin, sultry, seductive...these works highlight Spanish influences in music written by French and Russian composers. Symphonie espagnole is neither a symphony nor a concerto, but somewhere in between. And its a great showpiece for virtuoso violinist Jennifer Frautschi. An example of early minimalism, Ravels Boléro is one huge crescendo, building in intensity for 13 minutes. Music Director Michael Butterman introduces you to this romantically inspired Valentine's Day concert.
