She has. Copies were sent to Kate and her family. I know that her late father particularly enjoyed this track. I've not heard of any statement from Kate about it.

I love this. It's so original and inspired. I don't think it's possible to reach any where near Kate's level by simply covering her note for note, but by transposing the style of the song across the Atlantic, they have shown a 'think outside the box' abroach that mirrors what makes Kate's work so genius. 10/10.

Glad you dig it. Wish I had better camera work of this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Is this really a cover of 'There goes a Tenner'? As a song, it wasn't hideous, however, if I was them, I would have given it a new name and recorded it as an original...

It's definitely based on "There Goes A Tenner" - same story, same basic melody, many of the same lines. The main thing is they took Kate's English Cockney criminal argot and translated it into American "Gangsta". A brilliant re-construction. Very likely my favorite Kate cover mainly because it didn't try to imitate Kate. The original exists, if you want to hear it, put on The Dreaming.
