The Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc (CACCI) in collaboration with the Office of the Borough President of Brooklyn and the Consulate General of Grenada in New York held a Special International Roundtable Business Meeting "Exploring Trade, Investment and Tourism Opportunities in Grenada" on Tuesday at Borough Hall in Brooklyn, NY.
The main speaker was Prime Minister Tillman Thomas and also included Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Foreign Trade and Export Development, Sally Anne Bagwhan Logie; Borough President Marty Markowitz; Deputy Borough President Yvonne Graham; Council member Jumaane Williams (Grenadian); Assistant Commissioner of the New York City Department of Small Business Services Gregg Bishop (Grenadian); President and CEO of CACCI, Dr. Roy Hastick (Grenadian) and former diplomat Ambassador Lamuel Stanislaus (Grenadian).
A number of other Grenadian entrepreneurs also attended the function. They included McDonald Romain, Owner of LaBaye Market and Yvette LaCrette of LaCrette Catering Services, among others.
Prime Minister Thomas provided an update on the economic situation in Grenada and declared that the island is poised for economic recovery. He also invited investors to explore the opportunities available.
