From KETC, Living St. Louis Producer Patrick Murphy finds out more about the segregation of St. Louis Public Schools from Donn Johnson, the Communications Director at the Missouri Historical Society. Johnson recalls going to kindergarten at Cole Elementary, an all-colored school. But after the desegregation in 1954, he was transferred to the Eugene-Fields School. There, he had his first classes with white students.
