The legality of the Bush Administration's warrantless surveillance program has been highly scrutinized.
One researcher attempted to find out how John Yoo felt about all this when he wrote an opinion for the Office of Legal Counsel back in 2001. However, the researcher's Freedom of Information Act request has been denied by the current Department of Justice, because it is classified.
