A polkacized arrangement of "The Swallow Tail Jig" performed here on two spike lutes: banjo and the three-stringed fretless Japanese shamisen. Irish folk music aficionados are encouraged to critique! Enjoy!

Tommy Stanton - banjo

  • I hated the banjo until I heard this. I guess it only sounds good in minor/dorian modes.

  • You are a trip, dude!! Very different, and very entertaining--virtuoso shamisen, with banjo accompaniment--lmao! Too cool.

  • Needs more cowbell

  • This is the best version of this song I've never heard of that I've ever heard!

    You guys did great.

  • Awesome work. You've discovered another genre that suits the shamisen perfectly. You're like the Bela Fleck of shamisen.

  • I love it when you do these Mike.

  • @tubulartom wow, thank you for the explanation.Wonderful tune, I'll give it a go. Cheers!
