@cbaldwinjr Haha k bro. More of an opinion, and I thought when Bo was playing he was the better RB then Allen...Haha didn't need to type out a paragraph over that

@RG3NFL No. It's people like you who think Barry Sanders is better than Walter Payton or Randy Moss is better than Jerry Rice. Its not your talents, its what you do with them. Bo Jackson was a home run threat. But he couldn't beat you catching the ball or blocking or even THROWING it the way Marcus Allen could. Only Marshall Faulk, Walter Payton, and LaDainian Tomlinson were more complete backs than Marcus. I'd put him on par with Thurman Thomas, except he lost about 4 years of his career in LA.

Anyone else agree?
Bo Jackson>Marcus Allen

When he made that cut in the SB run, it looked painfully slow (and probably was), but it looks like he cut in such a way to position himself just out of reach of the defender. Good example of a man who knows his limits, but will do anything to get the job done.

@emantabrizi yeah i know. i made that comment before i watched the whole video. i fucked up

@fr3shascanb3 ... Did you not watch the video? Allen was not the starting tailback his whole career. For several years, he was Bo Jackson's lead-blocker. Obviously, that put a dent in his career statistics.

@GoongalaGoongala ... LOL, well, of course. It all begins with the quarterback. That's why Rice should not be #1 on this list.

The rerason Marcus Allen isn't higher on the list is simple. Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Berry Sanders, Eric Dickerson, Gale Sayers etc etc ( I know I'm forgetting some).
There were guys, especially at his own position, who were simply better. Still, to be considered one of the top 100 players of all time is a huge honor and Marcus Allen definitely desrves to be on this list. Where exactly he should be is somewhat subjective but I think he was fairly rated.

@ElCuloChulo To be fair, and I'm a Detroit fan, Millen was a heck of a player and is a very good commentator. I'll never forgive him for what he did to the Lions, but he's not a complete loser. He was a very Good player who didn't know shit about building a team. Nuff said.

@kr4yzi32k Rice needed Montana a whole Hell of a lot more than Montana needed Rice. The fact he won 2 without him is a testament to that and YES, Montana probably would of still won the other 2 SBs without him. Football is a team sport and those 49ers teams were good. Out of all the positions on the field, the WR's success is the most dependent on someone else, in this case the QB. The WR, to be successful, needs the QB to get him the ball. And if the QB sucks, well...you can figure it out.
@84slaughter I don't think anyone is denying that Bo was a better athlete and probably a better pure runner though Allen was no slouch either. But Millen is just saying that Allen was a more complete football player which was true. He was a much better receiver out of the backfield and even a better blocker despite being smaller.
