  • For a film that has never been officially released on home video, the quality looks great here. Where did you record this from?

  • @vnisanian2001 I didn't record this myself, so I'm afraid I don't know.

I second that emotion! Mr Belvedere never suffered fools gladly. His family may have not been in "Who's Who"....but Lynn Belvedere knew "What's What"!!!

  • HA! My favorite sequence from this early 50's comedy gem! Watching Mr Belvedere give us a boogie beat on the piano is priceless! I recently read the new bio of Clifton Webb & it noted that the classical piece he plays on the sorority house piano was actually his own real life composition. A VERY talented man...and gifted actor! He was BORN to play Lynn Belvedere and Waldo Lydecker. THANKS for posting this fun clip !!! CHEERS !!! :-)

  • Belvedere just tickles me so much, the way he just completely accepts whatever compliment he receives and expands on it "Beethoven?" "Belvedere." "You play like Rubinstein!" "Rubinstein plays like me." "Nice people don't play boogies." "I do" *smug faces as he rips off a boogie.* All 3 Belvedere films are exceptional combinations of dry spoken wit and visual comedy. Why aren't they all released on remastered DVD?! Criminal.

  • God I love Belevedere! He is the man! And he damn well knows it.

  • I've been looking for this movie forever! Any idea where I can see the full thing?

  • @beorns3 I wish Fox would release the final two Mr. Belvedere films on home video. If not through retail, then maybe online, kinda like what Warner is doing with their Warner Archive Collection.

On the positive side, Turner Classic Movies will be showing them on Sunday December 12 this same year.
