This 10 min. video with original sound of the Austrian Filmmaker and peace activist Leo Gabriel shows the repression of the anti-NATO demonstration in Strasbourg on april 4th, 2009, with interviews with Bianca Jagger, Alex Calinicos, Francis Wurtz, Angela Klein and peace activists from Georgia and Austria, the street fights beween the so called "black block" and the French riot police CRS evoking the suspicion of police provocation during the violent actions.
the thing is i read these things and i think ok fair enough sure but even when these demos are in the 100,000's governments don't listen and the same even when millions are out peacefully still no one listens. not even addressed. everyone just goes look how thoroughly behaved everyone was. the anarchist blocs or even marxist ones who actually fight realise peaceful non violent activism is just a falsehood to undermine resistence.

Or could it be that it's far too easy to send a bunch of troublemakers into the crowd to create a pretext for dispersing any legitimate protest with anti-riot police :-?

I have been watching alot of these riot videos and there is one common theme among all of them.
The protesters are chanting about peace but create violence instead. They taunt riot police into fighting by throwing rocks and bricks, yet scream police brutality when they get knocked in the head with a baton. Peace my ass, you just want to create more problems.

(rhetorical questions) Why does NATO continue to exist? What is imperialism? Great video = 5 stars
