@edeemurphyable I never said a thing about WW2. I repeat, 187 F22s attacking anything at once is a won battle. The second attack would be considered a holocaust.

@49fiori You may wish to re-visit history. During WW2, the German weaponry was far superior to anything America fielded. We took tremendous casualties, compared to the Germans. Something like 10 tanks to each of theirs. We were able to produce more than 10 for each they produced, which was how we beat them. We no longer posses anything close to the manufacturing capability that we had back during WW2. A non-nuclear war with China would find us slowly, but surely, beaten.

To the dude with a lot of 1's and 0's.
You are very wrong. Firstly the forward canards on the typhoon are great for subsonic maneuvering, not so much for sustained supersonic maneuvers. They also slow top speed. The raptor can supercruise without afterburners at Mach 1.8, which is faster than the typhoons top speed. Also the F-22 will out maneuver the typhoon at subsonic speed, and be much more maneuverable at supersonic speeds. The raptor is in a different league than the typhoon.

@theblackidentety as an American I surely can admit that I don't agree with many of the things we do. That said I'm proud to be an American, proud of our military, our people, our innovation etc.
I just wanted to thank you for your unbiased attitude. Many people who dislike the US and its actions, go beyond reality calling us Satan, and they strongly believe that China and Russia are actually gonna declare war on us and wipe us out. I'm glad you put bias aside for truth is what I'm saying.

@49fiori Welcome to China. Dear, please free China from Communists! LOL

@poultonluke Thanks for that great response. :)

@Ramn8tr high pressure would force the airplane down, think of a ballon under water, it floats because of its inherent low pressure differential in comparison with the water, air pressure is a strong force acting on us permanently although its sort of handy also... without it our internal organs would burst out of us like in the schwarzanegger epic movie, total recall!

China declares war on USA, 32 J20s fly towards the USA, 132 F-22s intercept them.
J20 pilots: AWW SHIT!!!!!! WTF?!?!
JK I'm just joking with yal.
US Air Force has 187 F-22s. If you want to invade any country in the world, including China, this is enough.

@hassanoish -"it is the air that cannot get away fast enough, so it gets compressed over the wings and therefore visible - very short explanation"
And a very wrong one.
Compressed air heats up, dilating air cools down. Air above wings dilates and cools down below the air's dew point causing condensation to appear (i.e. making the air's moisture visible), hence the "clouds."
