(Note) How to get the most out of this video:
If you watch the bottom right of the screen you will see two circles representing the controller's left and right analog sticks. As you're performing dekes, the game records your controller movements so you can look further into what goes into pulling off one-on-one moves.
Hope you all enjoy this video! Be sure to check out my other NHL 08 video!
Update: For those who didn't notice.. whenever the replay sticks turn blue that means the one-on-one deke has been initiated. If you look carefully, you will see a tiny blue icon appear on the top left of the LS when the deke button (LB on XBOX 360 and L1 on PS3) has been pressed.
Update 2: Spin-o-rama and Twirl are done by holding LT (XBOX 360) or L2 (PS3) and moving the right stick in a backwards semicircle.
THIS VIDEO WAS DONE ON THE NHL 08 DEMO BEFORE THE GAME WAS OFFICIALLY RELEASED. Therefore, the only teams available were Anaheim and Ottawa. There was no practice mode so I was unable to select specific players for each movies (that's why Datsyuk, let alone a left handed shooter, wasn't used for for the Datsyuk move).
The sidestep is the only one I have managed to do consistently. I did one through the legs once and the puck ended up on the opposing goalie's stick just before I smacked it off of it between his legs into goal.
Is there an easy way to record replays?
I need these moves, what's a shortcut to mastering them?
