@tamialer thanks bro yea i bet that sounds good too.

hmm, well the bass on my 606 is plenty deep. Stuff falls off shelves when I play loud music :D
I used to have a Yamaha HTR-5730 and it had like no bass at all, tho it was a fairly low-end receiver so maybe I didn't give Yamaha a fair chance.
I also went with Onkyo because imo, their receivers have better internal amplifiers. And I wanted the Audessy EQ.
But two advantages the 663 has are the Burr Brown DAC's and pre-outs.

to me the bass wasnt deep enough to me the yamaha 663 has deeper bass plus i like the features on the yamaha better like the 7 band equalizer buit in.its 95 watts x 7 so its pretty good power.

why didn't you like the 606?
-
no im not because i dont have the extra money for a amp i had the onkyo 606 before i didnt like it the yamaha 663 wasnt even turned up half way.
-
are you gonna run any kind of external power amp? Because the 663 has pre-outs and you could REALLY get your CV's movin with a power amp.
Nice setup btw, I have the VE-12's as well being driven by an Onkyo 606.
