Today was a new day. Decided to cut down the weight of the whole thing. Got down to six blades just for the try out, so that i can then compare to 12 blades. As the weight is way down, I have managed to put back the maglev bearing i have made. It seemed to gain maybe 25% more smoothness (whatever i mean with this).

I know I don't catch a lot of wind with these small blades, but that's the first prototype. I am anyway planning on building a 3-wings Lenz turbine.

  • Hey! Why not put another turbine on the top side?

  • Try adding a strip of "L" angle to the outer edge of the verticle blades. It will help trap the moving air and hold it just a bit longer without increasing the upwind drag.
