This was the first game of the King's Quest adventure series. It also was the first game that used Sierra's Adventure Game Interpreter (AGI). King's Quest 1 was designed by Roberta Williams and published by Sierra On-Line in 1984. In this video, you can see the PC MS-DOS demo of the enhanced version done in 1990.

AGDInteractive has remade King's Quest 1, 2 & 3. They are wonderful and even have voice acting! They also remade Quest for Glory 2. It makes me happy to know other people care about these games enough to remaster them and make them free to the fans. Even Monkey Island 1 &2 have been remade :)

i absolutely loved playing this game when i was little. i'm now 27. i do believe the FIRST kings quest was the first computer game i ever played and i remember it vividly... my favorite part was kicking the cat lol. i've been a computer addict & gamer addict ever since! <3 Great memories! would love to play these games again!~
