@JayAdlerComment You are mistaken, friend. This song was written by Sandy Denny. After Judy Collins heard Sandy's earlier (1967) recording of it, Judy recorded it herself and made it the title track of her 1968 album.

Sandy Denny and the Fairport Covention also planted their roots in FM Rock, vinyl world with milk crates to house your collection. Sandy Denny was an exceptional vocalist with a touch of Judy Collins and really inventive.Who knows where the time goes is a cover of a Judy Collins song although I am not sure whether the group or Judy penned it.

Can't say what's more powerful, Sandy Denny's vocal or Richard Thompson's incomparable guitar work.

@jjacktex just could not add to that - just beautiful

This is one of the most beautiful songs to ever to be put to pad and pencil.

I truly believe that Sandy Denny was touched by the hand of god. Such talent, wisdom and humility. I listen to her wonderful voice and lyrics, she paints pictures in my mind and touches my soul, I weep. I do hope that this dear, dear lady has now returned to the place and time whence she came and is at peace with the universe. She is deeply revered and missed.
