I think EA bought Dice during or after the development process of BF2. They however keep it named Dice since this name has still a pretty good reputation. But basically they are EA Sweden.

You're right. Just after the success of BF2. They were only the majority share holders at 62% as of 2005. Purchased for 61 SEK per share. Then they completed the acquisition in 2006 for 175.5 million SEK.
