Photography Tutorial Nikon D3000 D3100

D3000/D31000 Super Secret Project

Join me backstage as I capture images from the dressing room to backstage to the pit. I shot the entire day using the Nikon D3000 and various pieces of Nikon glass. The video was captured with the Nikon D3S and Nikon 16mm Fisheye.

I got to spend the day with Philadelphia based rock band Automatic Fire and capture behind the scenes images. Sit back and watch what happens back stage while I am capturing images. You will get to follow the journey from the dressing room to the stage for sound check and finally the show.

Mixed in the entire video you will see the images that were captured at that particular time along with all technical information.

At the end of the video there is a special "bootleg" recording of "Shake" by automatic fire www.theautomaticfire.com cut to a live performance as well as live photos cut in.

I would really like to see you shoot with some of the kit lenses...or at least an affordable lenses. We don't all have 2Gs for the fast ultra wide

@vicemonkey I have done that with the 35 1.8 as well as some sigma 2.8 lenses like the 70-200 2.8 which is affordable.

Jared, would U mind doing a tutorial shooting in different scenarios (in & outdoors, gigs, museums, streets,) but with the camera kit lens? I know it´s not a good one, but It seems to me that most of the people shooting with d3100 uses the 18-55 lens. In the future, I´ll probably buy a decent one but by now the poor 18-55 is the one I have. so it would be perfect to see how a poor lens like that works in more experienced hands . d3100 owners would be grateful forever. thank you.

i think people r missing the point here he's saying that its better to have better glass more so than a better body. u can get great shots from a low end body with good glass.
