Some footage from Labor Day, September 6th, 2010 at the Englishtown's practice track.

This was mid day.

I just got back into motocross 1 month ago (literally). Before that, i haven't ridden in 9 years. This video is my 3rd time on a motocross track since i bought this bike. I'd consider myself a novice rider, but I'm getting back in to the swing of things pretty quickly.

Bike is a 2000 YZ 250 2-stroke. I freshened it up after i bought it and it runs pretty good! Graphics were made by LimitedDecal (I haven't finished installing them completely).

  • how old r u?

  • @mrfakie3000 I'm 23

  • dude speed up, those jumps are meant to be gapped, not landed on top of, I bet you'd have such a smoother ride if you just didn't throttle off 15 ft before the jump. Nice video though!

  • @ryde4ever3 Thanks for the comment. I've been to the track a couple times since this video and am clearing everything perfectly now. This video was my 3rd time on a MX track and i've only had the bike for a month.

I'll post some new videos soon. Hopefully you'll see the improvement.

  • @ryde4ever3 Check out the video i posted from 09-08-10 at Etown's race track. I was riding a bit better and it was only 2 days after this one.

  • Nice riding=D I also got a 250 2 stroke =P you don't happen to know how to handle "kickers" on the edge of jumps at the takeoff?, cuz I either get thrown sideways or my rear kicks up really high? More gas, lean back or what?

  • @biohazzardnoz Body position and throttle. You want to be constant with the throttle (don't let off) and body position is fairly neutral. Squeeze the bike with your legs but allow your knees to flex a little to absorb the kick of the sharp lip. If you find your front end dipping, give the throttle a good blip while in the air and it should stop it.

If you lean too far back, you are just going to get bucked forward with the bike and its not going to be pretty.
