Drum cover - Cult of Personality by Living Colour.
I´ve always loved this song - the opening track from the great album "Vivid". The original drummer Will Calhoun came along an brought a fresh breath of air to rock drumming at that time. Big big rock sound yet utterly groovy and with an inherit funk attitude at the same time. Not forgetting - tons of POWER!!
The original drums are very present in the original mix, so it was darn hard to make it work and sound okay without too many "flam" hits going on.
I also tried to get a matching huge sound myself, and for instance I used a fairly open 24" bass drum with full front head on, miked from outside (Bonham-style) with an AT-4050.
Well, there you go. I do hope you like it as it was good fun playing this one.

@CatDoggie13 Thanks. The video is shot with a Canon DSLR camera, and the audio is recorded through a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 interface to a Macbook Pro running Logic Pro 9. So yes, it is a bit to set-up, but nothing too elaborate.
